"Since 2002, the Dillman Family Association (DFA) has been helping Dillman families throughout the world understand their family heritage."
The DFA was formed to help everyone with an interest in learning about the ancestry of families that include the Dillman surname, or one of its many variations (Dillmann, Stillman, Tillman, Dielman, Dieleman, Dhyllmann, Dihlmann, Dilllaman and Tighlman). Membership is open to all who are interested.
Activities include a quarterly newsletter filled with human interest stories and the latest discoveries about Dillman heritage. A DNA testing project has helped us learn who is related to whom. A Dillman Library has ancestry records and artifacts from many family lines.
Dillman Mega-Reunions are held every two years in different locations (Indianapolis, IN, Roanoke, VA, Harrisburg, PA, Cincinnati Airport, KY) to discuss new genealogical discoveries and plan new activities. The 2012 Mega-Reunion will be held August 10-11, 2012 in Ft. Wayne, IN
The Dillman ancestry of some of our members has been traced back to the 1500's and for other family lines our work is just beginning. We welcome inquiries, and would be pleased to help you learn more about your Dillman family ancestry.
